About

All of my blades are hand forged in the USA. The Two Finger Knife (TFK) and Snake River Knives (SRK) are made in Idaho and the third forger is Alabama Damascus. They are all custom blades. The overall length (OAL) will vary with each knife.

Most of my wood is stabilized, sanded up to 2000 grit and treated with Tung oil. I also use Micarta, both current MFG and the original Westinghouse Micarta made in the 1970's. Liner materials are usually made of a carbon fiber but may also be Macarta or G-10 material.

The leather sheaths are handmade in the USA.
Each knife takes 8 to 12 hours to make over a two week time frame.

Damascus steel: a type of steel used in Middle Eastern swordmaking. These swords are characterized by distinctive patterns of banding and mottling reminiscent of flowing water. Such blades were reputed to be tough, resistant to shattering and capable of being honed to a sharp, resilient edge. (used in our D series knives)

Micarta: a synthetic material used in some of our non-wood handles that is especially strong and durable. Micarta can withstand extreme heat and cold and is very resistance to wear. Commonly used for survival knives.
